County to Hold Meeting on German Village Right‑of‑Way Survey, Road Improvements

Glynn County will hold an informational meeting Wednesday, September 23, to share the results of a recent survey to delineate County owned rights of way in German Village. The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 pm  in Room 108 at the Casino Building, 550 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island. Residents will be provided with an update on a planned road improvement project.
District 2 Commissioner Bob Duncan will host the meeting and will include a project briefing followed by a question‑and‑answer session with County representatives.
The road survey was conducted to address concerns about County right of way location, width, emergency vehicle access, and encroachment issues within German Village. The survey results will confirm the exact locations of rights‑of‑way and identify any driveways, fences, or other structures encroaching into those areas. Preliminary plans include opening of rights of way and ensuring emergency vehicle access to provide essential services to residents of German Village.
A quorum of the Glynn County Board of Commissioners may attend the meeting. It is informational only, and no official action will be taken.
