The Glynn County Comission meets tonight at six. On the agenda is approval of an agreement with Georgia Power to move power lines in preparation for the construction of a roundabout at Frederica and Sea Island Roads. The county will reimburse Georgia Power $1.2 million for moving the lines. The agreement calls for Georgia Power to move  the lines within six months. County Commission Chair Wayne Neal says he believes the roundabout will begin construction before the end of the year.

Early voting in the primary runoffs begins tomorrow morning and runs through Friday June 12. You may vote at the Board of Elections office on Gloucester St.;  St Simons Fire State number 2; and at Ballard. Voting will be open Saturday, but not Sunday. There are six races on the Republican runoff ballot, and five on the democrat ballot. If you voted on a partisan ballot in the primary, you vote for the same party in the runoff. If you voted on a non-partisan ballot in the primary, you can choose either party in the runoff. And if you didn’t vote in the primary you CAN vote in the runoff.
