You’ll be paying a little more at the pump starting today, as Governor Brian Kemp’s gas tax suspension ended last night at midnight. Overall gas prices in the area were down on average around 25 cents a gallon over the last couple of weeks. The gas tax reinstatement will add about 33 cents to the price of a gallon of gas.
The Brunswick Downtown Development Authority has announced a new gift certificate program designed to support local businesses and encourage residents and visitors to shop downtown. Downtown Dollars work as a local gift certificate and can be redeemed exclusively at
participating downtown businesses. They also serve as a gift option for birthdays, holidays, employee appreciation, teacher gifts, giveaways, and anyone who loves downtown Brunswick. Downtown Dollars can be purchased online or in person through the Brunswick Downtown

Thursday August 6th has been announced as the annual KGIB Clean and Green golf tournament at the Brunswick Country Club. Participation in the fundraiser to support beautification in the Golden Isles is $600 per team if you register before August 1st. Register for the four-man scramble tournament by going to KGIB.org.
