Auto Break-ins Solved with Flock Assistance

Glynn County police have arrested a suspect in a series of car break-ins that took place on St Simons Island. Between August 30th and 31st, a total of six break-ins were reported in and around the Harbor Oaks Condos subdivision.

A neighbor’s camera captured a vehicle dropping off and then picking up a person casing vehicles in the area.  Through the footage, police identified the suspect’s vehicle as a white Dodge Charger with black rims and a black tailfin. A search of St. Simons Flock cameras was conducted to identify the car. The matching vehicle spotted by Flock cameras was registered to Deandre Smith, age 32, of Hinesville. Since registering  the vehicle, Smith has had a legal name change to Destiny Schon.

After being interviewed by Glynn County Police, who noted numerous inconsistencies in Schon’s tale, arrested her on six counts of Party to Entering an Automobile.
