BRANTLEY COUNTY, GA — APRIL 22, 2026 — We are actively monitoring and
responding to wildfire activity affecting Brantley County. Multiple public safety agencies are on
scene, working around the clock to protect life and property.
AREAS OF ACTIVE FIRES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
• Hwy 110 West to South of Drury Lane
• 110 East near Gallberry Road
• Old SR-259 to Satilla Estates
• HWY 82 to Satilla River to Browntown Road
AVOID TRAVEL
• Waynesville Road to Hwy 110
• Waynesville Road to Highway 259
• US Hwy 82 (closed from Nahunta to the Glynn County line)
• Satilla Pines to Browntown Road
WIND ADVISORY
Winds may shift rapidly, creating unpredictable fire behavior. Stay alert and be prepared to
evacuate immediately.
BE READY TO EVACUATE
• Those needing extra time (pets, livestock, medical needs) should leave now
• Others should be ready to leave immediately if conditions worsen
• Recommended evacuation route: Highway 32

orders will be communicated there immediately.

Georgia VOAD works in partnership with organizations such as the American Red Cross and
The Salvation Army to ensure resources are distributed efficiently where they are needed most.
