Smoke from Brantley and Clinch County fires
The smoke this morning, Tuesday, April 21, is coming from two active incidents: a large brush fire in Brantley County and a 9,000-acre wildfire in Clinch County.
As of today Glynn County’s burn ban remains in effect and will continue for the foreseeable future. We have very dry conditions and no rainfall expected for at least the next 10 days, which means even small outdoor fires can become uncontrolled quickly. Glynn County Fire Rescue’s burn ban continues to prohibit yard debris burning and the use of personal fireworks.
