Southeast Georgia Health System is seeking friendly, service-minded volunteers to join a new Visitor Management Program at its Brunswick Campus. The program aims to promote a safe, secure and welcoming environment by providing assistance with visitor registration, identification, access and guidance throughout the campus.
The new Visitor Management Program offers an opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people and want to serve their community in a health care setting. Volunteers will receive appropriate orientation and training to prepare them for their role.
Multiple volunteer shift opportunities will be available each day, making the program a flexible way for community members to give their time and make a meaningful difference for patients, families and guests.
During a typical shift, Visitor Management volunteers will:
-
Welcome patients and visitors.
-
Assist with check-in and visitor management procedures.
-
Provide directions and help guests navigate the campus.
-
Answer basic questions from patients and visitors.
-
Help patients and visitors connect with appropriate hospital resources and services.
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, education, health care, military service, public service or volunteer work is helpful but not required. Ideal volunteers will be friendly, service-oriented and have strong communication skills.
Community members interested in becoming a Visitor Management volunteer are encouraged to contact Volunteer Services at 912-466-3157 or
