One year of Brunswick Breeze celebrated during First Friday

One year after launching, Brunswick Breeze has become a transportation option for thousands of riders across Brunswick, providing convenient, on-demand transportation for work, school, appointments, errands, and more.
Since launching on September 16, 2025, Brunswick Breeze has completed over 63,931 rides, including 58,523 rides since fares went into effect in November 2025. The service has maintained an 80.8% met demand rate and received a 94.1% five-star rating from riders.
Commissioner Kendra Rolle said, “A year ago, critics called it a waste. Today, with more than 60,000 rides provided, the Brunswick Breeze has proven its value to our community.”
The service has also developed a growing base of returning riders. To date, 4,885 riders have made at least one request, with 2,110 riders booking more than one ride and 1,005 riders making five or more bookings. Brunswick Breeze has generated $99,113 in fare revenue.
Brunswick Breeze was introduced as a flexible alternative to traditional fixed-route transit, allowing riders to request a shared ride through the Brunswick Breeze app or by calling 912-574-2102. The service uses on-demand technology to match riders traveling in similar directions, providing a flexible way to travel throughout the city.
The service currently offers standard rides for $3, with reduced fares available for eligible riders, including students, seniors, low-income residents, and members of the military. Rides to and from Brunswick Golden Isles Airport are $12. Children 12 and under ride free, and additional riders are $1 each.
As Brunswick Breeze enters its second year, the city will continue evaluating the service and rider needs to help ensure transportation options continue to support the local economy.
