Yesterday (Sept. 21) mtn2sea Ministries raised enough money in two hours and 11 minutes to provide a camper for a couple with an autistic child which enabled this young family to move out of the tent they were living in. Note: Mom has a job and Dad is looking. Enough money was received to help this couple with campground costs, food, etc. for a couple of months.

First Baptist Church Brunswick will hold its First Students Fall Retreat at Look Up Lodge, Travelers Rest, S.C., Oct. 10 – Oct. 13. The Sons of Jubal will be in concert in the Church Oct. 22 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

First Baptist Church St. Simons Island will hold Church at the Beach on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m. Bring a chair to the service held on the beach directly across the street from the Church.

Brunswick First United Methodist Church welcomes Rev. Dr. Tara Paul as Senior Pastor. She has a BA from University of Georgia in Religion, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary and has served at Dacula First UMC (Pastor to Youth and Families), Mountain Park UMC (Associate), Avondale Patillo (Senior Pastor), Birmingham UMC (Associate), and Inman Park UMC (Senior Pastor).

Christ Church, Frederica will hold their annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2 pm to 4 pm outside the Parish Hall. Blessings will be offered in a drive-through format. On Friday, Oct. 2 members of Christ Church will celebrate Simchat Torah with friends at Temple Beth Telfilloh at 6:30 pm.

North Brunswick Christian Church, 3131 Cypress Mill Rd, Brunswick will host a “DOG-GONE GOOD FALL FEST” on Sunday, Oct. 18  from 5-7 pm. This FREE community event will feature Hot Dogs on the grill, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Trunks, Treats, Giveaways and More. Fun for all ages.
