Southeast Georgia Health System to Host Sept. 29 Blood Drive
In partnership with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Southeast Georgia Health System will host a blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Brunswick Campus. The LifeSouth Mobile Unit will be located at the corner of Parkwood Drive and Kemble Avenue.
Blood is needed every day to care for patients facing unexpected emergencies, planned surgeries, cancer treatments and other serious health conditions. Southeast Georgia Health System is giving community members another opportunity to help ensure that lifesaving resource is there when patients need it.
Half of the units collected during the blood drive will be donated directly to Southeast Georgia Health System to help care for patients in the local community. A single blood donation can help save up to three lives.
As a thank-you, donors will receive a $20 e-gift card, T-shirt and free cholesterol screening.
All eligible donors are encouraged to participate. To register, visit https://bit.ly/DNT-BLD. Walk-ins are also welcome.
