Registered sex offender arrested on St. Simons

William Walter Frick alias Chatham Frick, Walter Frick, William W. Frick, was arrested by Glynn County police on Sunday (August 23) after receiving a report that he had exposed himself to two children on the beach at St. Simons Island.
Frick was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation.
According to Georgia Bureau of Investigation records, Frick was convicted in November 1993 in Georgia on a child molestation charge. He is considered a sexually dangerous predator by Georgia’s Sexual Offender Risk Review Board.
He registered as a sex offender in 2010. His last residence verification date was February 23, 2026 in Midway, Ga.
The investigation remains active. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity involving Frick at Coast Guard Beach on August 23, 2026, or who may have additional information related to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Glynn County Police Department Non-Emergency line at (912) 554-3645.
