GIDA announces Elevate Glynn

The Golden Isles Development Authority (GIDA) launches Elevate Glynn, a comprehensive initiative designed to provide local entrepreneurs with the capital, education, and resources they need to start, grow, and expand their businesses. In partnership with the Lucas Center and the private sector, more than $1 million dollars are earmarked for investment in entrepreneurs in the Golden Isles.

Elevate Glynn brings together multiple funding opportunities under one unified program, creating a streamlines pathway for businesses at every state of growth. The initiative represents GIDA’s continued commitment to strengthening the local economy by investing in businesses thawt create jobs, revitalize commercial corridors, and build long-term economic prosperity.

“95% of the businesses in this community employ less than 50 people, and one in two working people is employed by these businesses. This is a sector of our economy that is critically important,” said Ryan Moore, GIDA President & CEO. “While GIDA is often recognized for its recruitment efforts and supporting industrial development, economic growth also happens one entrepreneur at a time. Elevate Glynn represents a $1 million investment in the people and businesses already calling Glynn County home, helping them access the capital, mentorship, and resources they need to succeed.”

“Many of the businesses we support aren’t ready for a bank loan yet, but they still need capital to help them grow to a place where they are sustainable. Elevate Glynn and our partnership with GIDA allows us to pair mentorship and education with the financial resources our entrepreneurs need. Just as importantly, this initiative helps small businesses become bankable, supporting their economic growth in the long run,” said Ande Notes, CEO Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship.

The initiative includes three complementary funding programs designed to meet businesses where they are:

• Microloan Program – Loans of $5,000 to $25,000 through the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship for pre-bankable businesses, paired with mentorship and business education.

• Revolving Loan Fund – Financing in partnership with local financial institutions for expansion projects, including real estate, construction, renovations, and equipment.

• Matching Grants – Support for placemaking, innovation, workforce education, and aviation-related investments.

Applications for Elevate Glynn are now open. Entrepreneurs and small business owners can learn more about available funding opportunities, eligibility requirements, and apply by visiting the new Elevate Glynn website: https://goldenislesdev.com/elevate-glynn-initiative/

“Elevate Glynn is more than a funding program- it’s a long-term investment in Glynn County’s entrepreneurs and the local businesses that drive our economy,” Moore said. “By combining capital, education, and strategic partnerships, we’re creating opportunities for businesses to grow, create jobs, and strengthen our community for years to come.”
