Burn ban lifted

Glynn County Fire Rescue has announced the burn ban for Glynn County has been lifted as of today – May 12.

With improving weather conditions in the area, and in conjunction with the Governor’s termination of the statewide bum ban, Glynn County is lifting the temporary fire safety restrictions imposed by the Temporary Administrative Order issued on February 27, 2026, concerning the open burning of yard debris and the discharge or use of personal fireworks within the unincorporated areas of Glynn County. The temporary fire safety restrictions imposed under the Temporary Administrative Order are no longer in effect as of May 12, 2026. Outdoor burning within the unincorporated areas of Glynn County shall be governed by all applicable local ordinances, rules, and regulations, and by the laws and regulations of the State of Georgia, including requirements and guidelines issued by the Georgia Forestry Commission and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. Glynn County Board of Commissioners and Glynn County Fire Rescue reserve the right to reinstate temporary fire restrictions or burn bans in the future should drought conditions or other circumstances create a significant risk to public safety, property, or natural resources.
