Glynn County Invites Teens to Learn Lifesaving Skills During Christmas Break
Glynn County is giving local teenagers an opportunity to learn potentially lifesaving skills during Christmas break through a two-day Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course Dec. 21–22.
Designed for teens ages 14–17, the hands-on program teaches essential emergency preparedness skills, including fire safety, basic first aid, light search and rescue, and disaster response.
Through interactive exercises and practical instruction, participants will learn how to recognize potential hazards, respond safely to emergencies, and assist others when appropriate. The training also emphasizes teamwork, leadership and problem-solving, helping teens build confidence while preparing to make a positive difference in their communities.
Teen CERT encourages young people to take an active role in emergency preparedness, equipping them with knowledge and skills that can benefit their families, schools and neighborhoods.
