If you look in any dictionary under perseverance, or tenacity or persistence or resourcefulness or dedication, or proactivity you will find Alicia Haynie. You will also find her under caring, giving and kindness.
Alicia started her company, Lavender Lemon Laundry and Lifestyle to put her daughter through college, and it has mushroomed.
From creating homemade detergent and simmer pot blends, the company has morphed into a commercial cleaning business and a Mommy’s helper and Care Helper business.
Alicia moves at a fast pace.
The lavender and lemon laundry detergent is very popular among clients, and Alicia uses it in her own laundry service. The simmer pot blends, which come in everyday scents, mean no toxic candles. There will be special scents for Thanksgiving and Christmas as well.
In June she traveled to a lavender farm in Molena, Ga. and spent two days picking lavender for her products. The lavender was processed on site for the essential oil used in her homemade laundry detergent.
Alicia picks up and delivers laundry for commercial as well as residences. She goes to Wayne and Brantley Counties and Glynn with clients on Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Brunswick. She handles laundry for vacation rentals as well as aprons, napkins, and tablecloths for restaurants.
Her commercial cleaning business includes banks, car dealerships and offices. She admitted that she can only do all of this because of her amazing team.
“The Mommy’s and Care Helper programs have evolved,” she said. “We do laundry on site, organize drawers, cabinets, just whatever the client wants us to do.”
“For the Mommy’s Helper service the client buys a block of hours,” she said. “We meet and discuss what needs to be done, and I just go when they need me and at their convenience.”
One of the most unusual services Alicia provides is a “reset” service for washers and dryers. When she is finished, the washer and dryer look like new. It’s pretty amazing and the price is very reasonable. Check out the video on her Facebook page. Click here
Alicia is also a member of the Brunswick Kiwanis Club and has the distinction of being the second youngest member. She handles the social media and marketing for Kiwanis; is helping with the Kiwanis Brunswick Rockin’ Stewbilee which is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2027 at Mary Ross Park and the Kiwanis’ annual Christmas Tree sale of North Carolina Fraser firs.
