New Brunswick Job Corps Director named

Adams and Associates, Inc. has named Clarence Washington Jr. the new Brunswick Job Corps Center (JCC) Director.

Washington comes toJob Corps with more than 15 years of Georgia public education experience. He is the former principal of Martha Rawls Smith Elementary in Jesup, where he served since 2024. Prior to that role, he served as an assistant principal of Waycross Middle School from 2019 to 2024.

A lifelong Georgia resident, Washington holds a Master of Education from the University of West Georgia and Bachelor of Science from Albany State University. He holds the prestigious honor of being a Gates Millennium Scholar.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to have been selected as the new Center Director of Brunswick Job Corps Center. This opportunity is truly a God-directed move, and I am grateful for the path He has placed before me,” Mr. Washington said. “I plan to lead with a servant-leader approach to ensure every student has the skills necessary to achieve lasting success and reach their fullest potential.”   

“As a life-long Georgian,Washington is familiar with the needs of the Brunswick JCC student population. He is an enthusiastic and versatile educational leader who will collaborate with his staff team to ensure that Brunswick JCC students are equipped with the necessary tools to achieve academic, vocational, social, personal development and career success,” said Greg Weber, Vice President for Adams, which operates the Brunswick JCC for the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Brunswick JCC serves 315 students from coastal Georgia. Brunswick JCC provides vocational training in 11 trades covering construction, healthcare and security. The Center offers a high school diploma program and a high school equivalency program.

Job Corps is a free, federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. In addition to training, students receive housing, support services and job placement assistance.

Adams is a 100% employee-owned company that is singularly committed to the Job Corps program and its students. The company began as a small business formed in 1990 with the sole mission of operating at-risk youth and children’s programs for local, state and federal governmental agencies. Today, Adams is one of the largest private sector entities involved in the federal Job Corps program.

Adams operates 15 Job Corps contracts across the country, providing academic, vocational training and placement services to thousands of young people ages 16 to 24.
