Glynn County Police were very busy late last week. Thursday the Special Investigations Unit, Criminal Investigations Division and members of the SWAT team executed a search warrant on Stonewall Street. They found five people in the home as well as narcotics. Arrested were Susan Carter, charged with Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and Possession of Drug-Related objects; Robert Denegal, Jr, charged with possession of Drug Related Objects; Ervin Shuman was arrested on a active warrant for shoplifting; Thaddeus Marion will have pending warrants for Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule in controlled substance and possession of Drug-related objects.
County police also were called for a report of shoplifting ammunition at Academy Sports. Five males had reportedly stolen ammunition and fled in a Nissan Sentra. Officers stopped the vehicle in the parking lot. They recovered the stolen ammunition as well as two handguns hidden in the car. One of the guns was confirmed as stolen. The occupants of the car, four juveniles and once adult, were detained and ultimately two of them were arrested. One 16 year old was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, theft by shoplifting, false statements, and possession of a firearm by a person under 18. Tyshawn Holland was charged with possession of a firearm under 18 and on an outstanding warrant for terroristic threats in McIntosh County.
Then on Friday, Glynn County police executed five search warrants at different rooms at the Economy Inn on 341. In conjunction with the FBI and Brunswick PD, arrested were: Logan Knighted for possession of fentanyl; Rhaheim Richardson for possession of Meth with intent to distribute; Terrence Jackson for possession of Meth; Michael Cohen for possession of drug-related objects; Damion Mann for possession of Drug-related objects; Tammie Carter for possession of Meth; Jhamah Harris for possession of Drug-Related Objects and marijuana. Afterward, various public safety agencies inspected the Economy Inn and shut it down. The owners were issued multiple citations for fire life-safety violations, public health violations related to pest infestations, permit violations, and county business license violations for operating without the required permits.
