The polls are open today from 7 until 7 for voting in the party primaries. The primaries, however, aren’t the only things on the ballot. In addition to the party straw poll questions, there are a number of Judicial positions on the ballot for which today is the general election. Those races will be on every ballot, regardless of party. There will also be an independent ballot available for you to vote in those races if you don’t want to participate in either party’s primary.

Gas prices won’t spike dramatically in Georgia anytime soon. Governor Kemp’s gas tax suspension that was slated to end tonight at midnight has been extended through June 3rd in order to help travelers at the pump on Memorial Day weekend.

Last week, a jury convicted 53 year old James Lee Roberts and 35 year old Sheldon Trace Wright in the 2024 murder of 35 year old Bobby Leon Harris. Both men were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Sunday afternoon, a man was thrown from his motorcycle as he crashed on I-95 Northbound in McIntosh county.  He was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The accident resulted in I-95 northbound being shut down for several hours.
