Jason Thompson, Georgia’s National Committeeman, will be the guest speaker at the February meeting of the Golden Isles Republican Women. The meeting will be Monday, February 11.
Jason Thompson was elected in August 2018 to serve as Georgia’s National Committeeman following the departure of Randy Evans, who was appointed by President Trump as Ambassador to Luxembourg.
Jason is an attorney practicing in metro-Atlanta. Jason has worked his way up through the Republican Party starting at the local level. He has been Chairman of the 7th Congressional District for multiple terms, and is a member of the Georgia Republican Party State and Executive Committees. Jason serves on the State Rules Committee and the Georgia Republican Party Election Law and Ballot Security Team. He has served as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention. He is a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association and The Federalist Society.
The meeting will be held at the Bonefish Grill in Retreat Plaza on the Island. Check-in and seating starts at 11:30 with the program starting promptly at noon. The cost is $20 which covers lunch, beverage, dessert, and gratuity. Fort Frederica Presbyterian Church will hold a special Jazz Vesper Service on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:00 pm in the church scantuary. Providing music for this special service is the Ben Rosenblum Trio consisting of award-winning pianist and accordionist Ben Rosenblum, Marty Jaffe, bass and Ben Zweig, drums. The service will be followed by a reception for the musicians in the fellowship hall. The public is invited. There is no charge.
